We are now actively looking for an individual for the PW1000 program!


The Structures & Cases department develops new products and manages in-service components for civil programs. The role involves being the primary contact within the design organization, liaising with the manufacturing team and addressing all deviations within production. You will ultimately act as a Non-Conformance Engineer (NCE) for the products and be responsible for signing off all deviations before delivery to our customers.


The role includes coordinating the work within the design team, together with our own experts within GKN in areas such as solid mechanics, materials and related processes, to ensure that all technical requirements are justified before closing. You will be responsible for all technical communication with the customer Pratt & Whitney and external suppliers.
As an NCE, you will manage deviations on GKN products for Pratt & Whitney. You will be part of a design team, with colleagues in Sweden, India and the USA. You will strengthen our Structures & Cases design team, have the opportunity to expand your knowledge, grow within the role and develop within our design organization.
Job Responsibilities


Among others, the following responsibilities and expectations include:


Support the team leader with planning, driving and coordinating deviations in accordance with our delivery targets
Management of remaining deviations from manufacturing and external suppliers
Work together with manufacturing to develop repair procedures and be the main approver
Provide reflection and recommendations for design improvements to reduce deviations



Furthermore, we want you to actively contribute to the department's goals, strategy and continuous improvement efforts.

The Manufacturing and Materials business is looking for a dedicated Materials Engineer to work with us at our Global Technology Center (GTC).
We develop materials for new technology applications and design concepts. Often in national and EU-funded research programs together with our customers. About the role
You are responsible for the technology maturation and the optimization of the materials properties. Therefore, you are working with the development of heat treatments, materials selection, you coordinate test programs for materials properties testing (physical properties, strength, fatigue, creep etc.) in close collaboration with our mechanical test lab and/or external test providers. You analyze test results and document material data used for lifetime calculations and manufacturing simulation. Together with your colleagues, you develop test methods, methods for analyzing material data and our internal material database. You interact in a cross-functional team and support the manufacturing process maturation through material characterization with destructive and non-destructive testing as well as advanced characterization methods.

Högskolan Väst söker forskningsingenjör i produktionsteknik med inriktning termisk sprutning
Arbetsuppgifter:
Som forskningsingenjör i produktionsteknik med inriktning termisk sprutning spenderar du majoriteten av din tid i den laborativa miljön på Produktionstekniskt centrum (PTC).

Din huvudsakliga arbetsuppgift kommer att vara att operativt hantera utrustning och maskiner som är förankrade till forskningen inom termisk sprutning. Som forskningsingenjör är du involverad i forskningsprojekt genom att utföra experiment, leverera mätdata samt bidra med din utrustningsspecifika kunskap. Du kommer även att ansvara för underhåll av utrustningen och inköp av reservdelar.

En viktig del av anställningen kommer också att vara att medverka och stötta med delar i vetenskapliga publiceringar. Dessutom omfattar anställningen medverkan i högskolans förändringsarbete, utvecklingen av högskolans verksamhet och kontakter med det omgivande samhället samt administrativa arbetsuppgifter.

För denna anställning krävs: 
- Flerårig erfarenhet av praktiskt arbete med utrustning kopplat till termisk sprutning
- Förmåga att självständigt planera och utföra kvalificerade arbetsuppgifter kopplat till termisk sprutning
- Relevant utbildning i förhållande till anställningens innehåll
- Förmåga att kunna kommunicera på svenska och engelska flytande i tal och skrift
- God samarbetsförmåga 

Meriterande för anställningen är:
- Erfarenhet av termisk sprutning med någon av följande metoder: HVAF (High Velocity Air Fuel), APS (Atmospheric Plasma Spray), SPS (Suspension Plasma Spray)
- Arbete med utrustning inom termisk sprutning av fabrikatet Mettech
- Erfarenhet av arbete med ABB industrirobotar 

Övrigt:
Anställningen är en tillsvidareanställning. Sex månaders provanställning kan komma att tillämpas.

Tjänstebeskrivning

En av våra kunder söker efter Data science & AI Research Engineer, som till en start kommer att arbeta som konsult hos vår kund i Trollhättan, men tjänsten kan komma att gå över till en tillsvidareanställning direkt hos kundföreatget. Vi önskar tillträda tjänsten så snart som möjligt. Du kommer att vara stationerad ute hos kund och vara en av flera ingenjörer på plats.

Competence:
Minimum Master and Preferably PhD in Data Science and AI
Profile:
- Experience of Collecting and Structuring Data form Machine Sensors and External Data
Sources for Data Science Applications and AI
- Good knowledge of requirements of data storage, data management of Big Data
- Interest to work in a research environment and to drive and develop technology.
- Demonstrated Capability to aggregate, label data suitable for Machine Learning.
- Demonstrated Capability for creating Machine Learning Models on Structured and
Unstructured Data for both numerical data and image data from Machines.
- Experience to Create and Implement Machine Learning Models including Deep Learning.
- Skilled in Data Science and Machine Learning

Kvalifikationer

Mandatory:
- + 4 years of experience of development and applications in Data Science and Machine
Learning Applications
- Experience of programming in Python, C++,
- Meritorious:
- Experience in Keras, TensorFlow or other similar Deep Learning Applications

Arbetsuppgifterna består huvudsakligen av deltagande i forskning och undervisning inom området robotik och automation.

Arbetet inom forskningsverksamheten består huvudsakligen av att självständigt utföra experiment som stöd till forskare och doktorander. Vad gäller undervisning består arbetsuppgifterna framför allt av deltagande vid klassrumsundervisning, uppdragsutbildning, laborationer och studenthandledning på kandidat- och mastersnivå. Det ingår även att utveckla kursmoment kring exempelvis laborationer för undervisning på både campus och distans inom ramen för avdelningens undervisningsområde.

Exempel på vanligt förekommande arbetsuppgifter är:

- Planering av experiment och försök.
- Dokumentation av genomförda experiment och försök.
- Upphandling av utrustning för experiment och försök.
- Framtagning och design av hårdvara och mjukvara för experiment och försök.
- Simulering av robot- och automationssystem.
- Medverkan vid vetenskapliga publiceringar.
- Framtagning av undervisningsmaterial och laborationer.
- Inspelning av instruktioner och undervisningsmaterial för genomförande av laborationer för distansstudenter.

Dessutom omfattar anställningen medverkan i högskolans förändringsarbete, utveckling av högskolans verksamhet, kontakter med det omgivande samhället och administrativa arbetsuppgifter. Arbetet kommer till största del utföras på Produktionstekniskt centrum.

Kvalifikationer:

- Högskoleutbildning inom maskinteknik, produktionsteknik eller annat närliggande område som arbetsgivaren bedömer som relevant i förhållande till anställningen omfattande minst 180 hp.
- Mångårig erfarenhet av arbete med robot- och automationsutrustning.
- Kunskap om robotsimulering och automationssystem.
- Kunskap om flexibel automation och erfarenhet av hantering av AGV:er och samverkande robotar.
- Erfarenhet av att ta fram undervisningsmaterial.
- Erfarenhet av digitalisering av undervisningsmaterial.
- Förmåga att självständigt planera och utföra kvalificerade arbetsuppgifter.
- Dokumenterat god samarbetsförmåga.
- Flytande svenska och engelska i såväl tal som skrift.

Meriterande för anställningen är:

- Masterexamen (120 hp) eller kurser på avancerad nivå inom robotik, automation eller annat närliggande område som arbetsgivaren bedömer som relevant i förhållande till anställningen.
- Erfarenhet av arbete med Robot Studio.
