We are looking for Manufacturing Engineer Paint within ME General Assembly & Paint. The team you will be a part of is responsible for all the manufacturability assessment, and improving the processes and tools around it.
Description
Your main responsibility would be for manufacturability of new or change product parts, and responsible for coordinating and coordination of various activities in the projects around this area. One of the areas for this is towards the upcoming new car projects. You will deliver and secure that all the Paint ME activities follow project timing in your area, both manufacturability requirement and to create ME assessment delivery.
Your role as a Manufacturing Engineer Paint will be to lead all cross-functional activities within your area and report to our project leader within manufacturing paint.
The role involves:
- Secure treatment of body in white.
- Responsible to secure so all manufacturability requirement, will be fulfilled for Paint production.
- Speaking partner to our R&D engineers, secure all product requirements will be implemented in the process documentation.
- Drive/be part of Benchmarking, Continues improvement, Planning & follow up, Virtual build, Six sigma, Concept selection etc.
- Participate in developing of new virtual tools for pretreatment product/process evaluation.
- Responsibility over the deliverance of manufacturing time, assembly equipment need, cost estimation and a producible product.
- Responsible to define future paint strategies, create assessment reports, quality try-out plans etc.
- Responsible for KPI:s like: FTOK, Ergonomic, Budget, Efficiency,
- Report the actual status to our project leaders
We are looking for someone who has:
- A Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience
- Work experience within body surface treatment, minimum 5 years.
- Experience of project work, and within the automotive industries a merit
- Experience in CAD tools. Preferably, NX and Team center and MS office.
- Used problem solving with sense of urgency incl. root cause analyzing
- Ability to communicate clearly in English and Swedish, both verbally and written form
To be successful in this role, you need to:

- Have a good understanding of corrosion preventing methods.
- Be a communicative, positive and well organized person
- Be a team player with ability to plan and prioritize
- Have the ability to travel
