Job Description
Our customer has a strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. They strive to maintain the highest standards in all aspects of our operations. As they continue to expand and grow, they are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Safety Management System Engineer to join their team. Business unit Repair Solutions was established in spring 2022 and cover repair of aircraft engine components and complete engine repair and overhaul for Industrial Gas Turbines. The SMS Engineer will play a vital role in ensuring the effectiveness and compliance of their safety practices and processes. Working closely with our safety and quality teams, the SMS Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the Safety Management System to meet EASA Part 145 requirements.
The customer sees this as a long-term need and wants to have the opportunity to offer employment with the customer after two years of consulting assignments.
Key responsibilities: 
Develop and maintain the Safety Management System of the organization in compliance with the regulatory requirements and industry best practices
Coordinate and support the organization with identification of hazards, safety risk assessments and development of appropriate mitigation strategies
Monitor and evaluate safety performance indicators and propose improvements to enhance safety standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and monitor safety objectives and targets
Provide guidance and support to managers and employees in implementing safety policies and procedures
Participate in accident and incident investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
Monitor yearly plan for Safety Risk Management pro-active activities (MRA, RADAR etc.) including coaching leaders in executing planned activities
Ensure that safety data is collected, analyzed and reported on a regular basis to identify trends and patterns in safety hazards and incidents
Engage and communicate across the employee spectrum from Executive/Senior leadership to working level teams to promote and operationalize the SMS
Support Safety Assurance implementation and continuous improvement as the business unit advances its use of monitoring and analysis of metrics/data to assure achievement of the SMS objectives
Collaborate and engage with external entities regarding SMS which may include Regulators, Partners, Customers, Suppliers and other entities
Provide safety training to employees and management to promote safety awareness and the importance of safety in the workplace



Qualifications
BSc in Engineering, Aviation Safety, or a related field
Fluent in English, spoken as well as written
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify potential risks and develop effective mitigation strategies
Sound understanding of risk assessment methodologies, incident investigation techniques, and safety analysis tools
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications/Experience/Skills:
Aviation maintenance experience
Strong knowledge of EASA Part 145 regulations and requirements
Proven experience in safety management system development, implementation, and maintenance in an aviation or aerospace organization
Familiarity with industry safety standards such as SMS, AS9100, ISO 9001, or equivalent
Proficiency in using safety management software and tools

Dina arbetsuppgifter

Din profil
För att lyckas i rollen ser vi att du har en Ingenjörsexamen BSc, MSc eller liknande inom reglerteknik, datorsystemteknik, elektroteknik eller annan liknande ingenjörsexamen samtbehärskar svenska och engelska, både i tal och skrift.
Vi tror att duhar förmåga och intresse att lösa fysikaliska problem med modellbaserade metoder. Du, som resten av teamet, bidrar till ett gott arbetsklimat genom att vara hjälpsam, dela kunskap och erfarenheter samt vara öppen och proaktiv för ständiga förbättringar av vår verksamhet.

Job Summary
Driven by the vision of sustainable aerospace innovation, GKN Aerospace develop large scale additive manufacturing, saving waste material and creating new design concepts for lower weight and integrated functionality. The technology target engine structures in advanced material, in sizes up to 3 meter in diameter.

Center (GTC), and work with development of new inspection technologies.
We develop technologies and run development programs for product demonstrations of new design concepts, often in national and EU frameworks programs together with OEM customers. Our mission is to support business growth by implementing competitive technologies. The GTC competence spans over Additive manufacturing process development, advanced material, turbomachinery design, product development, digitalization, inspection technologies.

The work is performed jointly with your colleagues, through internal technology development
projects and in research projects often done in bilateral or multilateral collaboration with our GKN colleagues, industry and academic partners and customers.

Key Responsibilities
You will work on both the practical and theoretical aspects of inspection. Curiosity for learning and for understanding the aerospace quality requirements and the relation to manufacturing will be highly valued.

Some of the activities will be:

• Be part of development and implementation of new NDT technologies to support technology
• development programs
• Document and present results internally as well as externally with our partners
• Working close to University and research institute both in Sweden and Europe
• Build inspection set-ups to solve the different challenge with sensors and camera solutions
• Work with the integration of sensors and software into inspection systems
• Support developed inspection methods during their industrialization
• Evaluate the results

Your profile
We are looking for someone who is comfortable in taking a large individual responsibility as well as being part of a team. You are a curious mind and have an interest in thinking beyond established processes, while maintaining enough structure to bring creative ideas into industrial life. You easily involve into discussions about your area of expertise – but also about things, you never heard of before. You have the ability to create effective networks and you could take on a technical responsibility role later on. Furthermore, that you are able to create a positive atmosphere to grow and develop knowledge in others whilst acting as a role model.

Essential qualifications:
• You are an engineer with a M.Sc. in e.g. engineering physic or electrical engineering, or a suitable PhD
• You have industrial experience with measurement and inspection systems, sensors, sensor systems and machine vision solutions
• Experience from working close with university in research projects as well as writing research proposals
• You are proficient in English, both in speaking and writing

Desirable qualifications are:
• You have knowledge and practical experience in one or more NDT methods like CT-scanner analysis,
• X-ray and Ultra Sonic measurements, optical sensors comprising cameras and thermography
• Experience in integrating software into inspection systems
• Experience in industrializing inspection systems
• Interest and knowledge in software development

Din profil

The EE HW Engineering Chapter is one of five competence teams inside the Hardware Engineering Tribe. The overall responsibility of the Tribe is to secure NEVS present and future need for Hardware Competence & Technology, while building a great place to work. The responsibilities of the EE HW Engineering Chapter lies within the areas of Physical Electrical Architecture, EDS (Electrical Distribution Systems), Electronics & Electrical Energy Storage.

We work in a lean, agile organization where people with certain competences are either members of squads (smaller teams), and/or act in a supporting role to these squads. To be successful you need to have an open mind, be solution oriented, a team player and able to adapt to change.

 

Work Tasks

As a physical layer communications network engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining NEVS General Requirements for physical network development, and thus ensuring that NEVS products will meet the standards required by NEVS customers. The role includes actively following development of standards and legislation globally, e.g. IEEE, IEC, SAE etc. You will be responsible for aligning the development rules and guidelines according to the maturity of the technical progress within your field of work. Such as assessment planning, roadmaps of development as it matures and being a part of our architecture team. You will use your knowledge and new findings continuously to develop and refine NEVS General Requirements in the field of Network Technologies.

You will also:

- Support concept selection at vehicle architecture, systems and components level.
- Monitor NEVS internal test planning and review test results.
- Support the development and maintenance of validation and verification methodologies and procedures.
- Support Engineers across the NEVS organization in applying Your General Requirements in System and component specifications.
- Support problem Root-causing and Resolution from a network perspective.
- Evaluate the feasibility of development plans, technical proposals and product offerings.
- Establish and maintain internal and external personal networks.

 

Education and Experience:

- Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Physics.
- Application knowledge of electronic design considerations in the automotive domain.
- Engineering experience from working in the automotive networks field minimum 5 years.
- Experience from (vehicle) Ethernet applications and other bus concepts. (PCB, Electronics circuit design, component design & selection) is desirable.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of Swedish and/or Mandarin Chinese desirable.

We are now looking for a Mechatronics Engineer AD-Sensors (Autonomous Drive)!

 

The EE HW Engineering Chapter is one of five competence teams inside the Hardware Engineering Tribe. The overall responsibility of the Tribe is to secure NEVS present and future need for Hardware Competence & Technology, while building a great place to work. The responsibilities of the EE HW Engineering Chapter lies within the areas of Physical Electrical Architecture, EDS (Electrical Distribution Systems), Electronics & Electrical Energy Storage.

We work in a lean, agile organization where people with certain competences are either members of squads (smaller teams), and/or act in a supporting role to these squads. To be successful you need to have an open mind, be solution oriented, a team player and able to adapt to change.

 

Work Tasks

As a Mechatronics AD-Sensor engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining ECU’s or embedded systems solutions for AD-Sensors, and thus ensuring that NEVS products will meet the standards required by NEVS customers. The role includes actively following development of AD systems and its sensors globally and write technical requirements for AD Sensors. You will be supporting NEVS internal test planning and review test results. In addition, as an AD Sensor engineer you will be responsible for, and support, other NEVS organizations with your knowledge, and ensure correct integration of AD sensors in the vehicle.

The sensor technologies includes cameras, radar, Lidar, ultrasonic systems etc. You will support in choosing the correct parts that follows our architectural growth. It includes also that the hardware requirements and communications systems for respectively technology.

 

You will also:

- Support concept selection at vehicle architecture, system and component level
- Support the development and maintenance of validation and verification methodologies and procedures
- Support Engineers across the NEVS organization in applying your requirements in System and component specifications
- Support problem Root-causing and Resolution from an AD-Sensor perspective
- Evaluate the feasibility of development plans, technical proposals and product offerings
- Establish and maintain internal and external networks

 

Education and Experience:

- Master´s degree (or equivalent) in Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Physics
- Application knowledge of electronic design considerations in the automotive domain
- Engineering experience from working in the ADS-sensor area (design & testing), minimum 5 years
- Experience from hands on Electronics design (PCB, Electronics circuit design, component design & selection) is desirable
- Ability to communicate clearly in English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of Swedish and/or Mandarin Chinese desirable
- Experience with radar-, Ultrasonic-, cameras and Lidar sensors is desirable

As an Electrical Energy Charging System Engineer, you will be responsible for developing NEVS On-Board charging systems, and thus ensuring that NEVS products will meet the standards required by NEVS customers. The role includes actively following development of standards, legislation globally, High voltage trends eg. 400/800V and market differences and charging interfaces e.g. AC/DC, wireless etc. You will be responsible for aligning the development of charging systems from component level towards vehicle level and infrastructure. You will use your knowledge and new findings continuously to develop and refine NEVS General Requirements in the field of Charging Systems.

  

You will also:

- Support concept selection at vehicle architecture, systems and components level
- Monitor NEVS internal test planning and review test results
- Be part of development of Electrical Energy Storage with focus on Charging
- Support the development and maintenance of validation and verification methodologies and procedures
- Support problem Root-causing and Resolution from a network perspective
- Evaluate the feasibility of development plans, technical proposals and product offerings
- Establish and maintain internal and external personal networks

 

Education and Experience:

- Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Physics
- Application knowledge of electronic design considerations in the automotive domain
- Engineering experience from working in the automotive with onboard charging systems (OBC), minimum 5 years
- Knowledge of charging standards like CCS, Chademo and GB/T
- Ability to communicate clearly in English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of Swedish and/or Mandarin Chinese desirable

The role includes actively following development of legislation globally, and most likely participation in standardization workgroups in the field of EMC. You will be monitoring NEVS internal test planning and review test results, and as an attribute owner You will be responsible for setting up the attribute assessment planning, and follow-up and report progress. You will use Your knowledge and new findings continuously to develop and refine NEVS General Requirements in the field of EMC.

You will also:

You will use your knowledge and new findings continuously to develop and refine NEVS Requirements in the field of battery cells technology.

 

You will also:

- Support problem Root-causing and Resolution from a battery/energy perspective

- Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Physics
- Application knowledge of battery/RESS design considerations in the automotive domain
- Engineering experience from working in the battery cells/RESS field minimum 5 years
- Experience from hands on RESS design (Battery, Electric circuit design, component design & selection) is desirable
- Ability to communicate clearly in English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of Swedish and/or Mandarin Chinese desirable

Sortimentet omfattas av både militära och kommersiella jetmotorer samt stationära gasturbiner, raketmotorer och olika delkomponenter. Här arbetar man med alla produktutvecklingsstegen från teknik och konceptutveckling till produktsupport. Främst handlar det om att delta i instrumentering och provning av fullskaliga gasturbinmotorer eller komponenter.

Du kommer att vara en del av ett produktutvecklingsteam och ansvara för hela instrumentprocessen från början till test. Typiska aktiviteter är projektplanering, design av instrumenthårdvara, etablering av instrumentation och tillverkningsprocedurer. Också förbättringar av befintliga installationsmetoder samt testning av nya tekniker.


Din profil
Bakom dig har du en kandidat- eller en masterexamen inom elektronik alternativt inom mekanik. I rollen är det viktigt att du har en god förståelse för kundens behov och ser vikten i att ständigt jobba mot förbättring. Meriterande är om du har tidigare erfarenhet från mätningar och testning.
